 Boo At The Zoo - 251-968-5732 - Boo at the Zoo returns on Sunday, October 21 from 1 to 4 pm. Have your little ones don their favorite costumes for a fun time at the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo's Boo at the Zoo. Be wacky and kooky because this celebration is not so spooky.

Elberta German Sausage Festival - 251-986-5805 - Join us at the German Sausage Festival for Elberta's famous German sausage & sauerkraut, plus continuous entertainment for adults and children, and over 200 arts & crafts booths. Other scrumptious foods will include German style filled cabbage, potato salad, goulash, red beans & rice, hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ sandwiches, ice cream, popcorn and peanuts. There will be baked goods as well as arts & crafts for sale at the festival. Carnival rides, polka, country, contemporary and German music will also be provided for entertainment.

Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival - (850) 492-7664 - The 34th annual Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival will feature more than 200 nationally acclaimed songwriters in venues along the Florida / Alabama Gulf Coast from November 8-18, 2018.  The festival is an opportunity for seasoned and aspiring songwriters and musicians from all over the world to have their songs heard, and for the public to learn the stories behind the lyrics that only the song’s author can express.  During this exciting 11 day festival, performers will be hosted in over two dozen venues from Downtown Pensacola and Perdido Key, Florida, into Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, Bon Secour and Silverhill, Alabama.   

Taste Of The Island - The Mystical Order of Mirams is proud to announce the 12th Annual “Taste of the Islands" to be held on Friday, November 30, 2018. This year our culinary extravaganza will host over 30 restaurants from Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and surrounding areas. The Orange Beach Event Center at the Wharf will be the location for this all-inclusive holiday gala, which will consist of food sampling, cocktails, musical entertainment and a silent auction.

Lighted Christmas Parade - City of Gulf Shores - Gulf Shores will kick off its holiday festivities on Friday, December 1 with the Lighted Christmas Parade. The evening parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature festive lighted floats as well as appearances from holiday characters and marching bands. Large crowds of spectators looking to bask in the holiday spirit are anticipated along Highway 59 as parade entries make their way from Gulf Shores Public Beach to Sims Park. The magical atmosphere from the parade will roll continuously into the night as a celebration in Sims Park will kick off immediately following the parade. Families can enjoy pictures with Santa, holiday treats, crafts and a snowball drop. It will be a man-made blizzard as 4,000 ping pong balls will be dropped from above. Winning snowballs will have a number that correlates with a prize supplied by our generous sponsors.

Annual Christmas Lighted Boat Parade - The Coastal Alabama Chamber of Commerce lighted boat parade takes off at about 5 p.m. on the Second Saturday in December from LuLu’s at Homeport Marina and finishes at Flora-Bama. More than 45 decorated vessels, including sailboats, charters and even a kayak or two, make this boat parade one of the largest in the Southeast. There are great viewing sites all along the Intracoastal Waterway, but for groups the best spot is The Wharf at Orange Beach, adjacent to the convention center.

Polar Bear Dip - The Kiwanis Club of Gulf Shores in partnership with The City of Gulf Shores, Bills by the Beach, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Torch Run present the Annual Polar Bear Dip at high noon on January 1, 2019 to take place at the west side of the Gulf Shores Main Public Beach.

Flora-Bama Polar Bear Dip - Do you have what it takes to brave 50ish degree Gulf waters?Legend has it that this started as a dare between two New Year’s revelers.  It has grown to an event celebrated by thousands, young and old, male and female. Some people just enjoy the people watching, some are there to show off. Decide for yourself whether this is an exhilarating way to embrace the new year or an extreme measure to fight off a hangover.

Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast's Greatest Beach Party - Interstate Mullet Toss is always held the last full weekend in April. The Interstate Mullet Toss and Gulf Coast's Greatest Beach Party is legendary. What started as just a reason to party has become one of the biggest beach parties on the coast. Those who participate in the Mullet Toss will throw a dead mullet over the state line of Florida and Alabama to see who gets the farthest. Not to mention it's a great excuse to throw a weekend long party, with lots of fun activities, great music and food! Each year, with your help, we raise and contribute over $20,000 to local charities, especially youth organizations. The event begins Friday at noon, and Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m. Celebrity tossers are at high noon Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Waterway Village Zydeco & Crawfish Festival - The annual Waterway Village Zydeco & Crawfish Festival boils up a beaucoup (French for a lot) of fun!  Sink your teeth into hot, juicy, lip-smacking crawfish throughout the day while dancing to the infectious rhythms of some of the best Zydeco bands from around the South.  There will be arts and crafts vendors as well as children's activities offering nonstop fun for all ages.

Hang Out Music Festival - The Hangout Music Fest is known for sugar white beaches, starry nights and red hot music. The award-winning festival takes place in Gulf Shores, Alabama — just a short drive from the Pensacola, FL and Mobile, AL airports. Hangout is as much a vacation as it is a concert event. Offering more than just music, fans can take advantage of festival amenities including beach volleyball, carnival rides, Gulf-front hammocks, delicious seafood and more. It was awarded as Pollstar’s “Music Festival of the Year” in 2011, and is continuously recognized as one of the best festivals in the US. The festival infuses over $40 million into the local economy each year.
